Japanese Manga Cafe'

Written by: Micha

It’s not Japan if they’re not adapting the ridiculous to convenience. They will invent the most unusual, unpredictable and the most bizarre of everything in the name of convenience and still be able to get away with it. Why? Simply, because it’s Japan.

The above Japanese invention of “being serious about staying dry” is something that went viral over internet and it went so viral that it’s currently giving Lady Gaga ideas for her new songs. And it’s not just this. They invented ways to let men breastfeed babies, a solar bra to charge electric devices, and a toilet paper helmet glued on top of your head for when you’re sick. And meanwhile the world is going “WTF” on these inventions, the Japanese consider them nothing outside of the norm.

But what I’m about to show you right now is something that has only existed in my otaku wet dreams. Behold, the Manga Café!

Before you throw your shoes at me and say, “U wasted 30 seconds of my life just 4 this, u cunt? It’s just an ordinary library LOL!”

It’s not. Manga Cafés are private libraries in Japan where you pay hourly (it’s ridiculously cheap) for the services. You will have an assigned private booth with a big comfortable chair and a computer (with internet access, motherfucker), and most of the cafés even have DVD players and games consoles.

Also, all Manga cafés come with refreshment bars and vending machines with food like sandwiches, noodles and icecream, and you can help yourselves whenever you want if you’ve paid a fixed price in the entry fee. It’s not just that these cafés are 24-hour-convienient, also this is a brilliant place to stay if you’re homeless or if your parents kicked you out, which is likely to happen in a near future. They may not have beds but the chair is comfortable enough to get a good night’s sleep. Yes, kids are doing this in Japan. And no, we’re not making this up. And since manga cafés has officially become unofficial hotels, they’re also introducing showers.

And while you’ll be jacking off to the wonderful life god has bestowed upon you, you will have every published manga existing on Earth just within hand’s reach.
The only drawback of this accommodation is that you'll probably die a virgin.
