Bleach Update

Bleach Manga Update
Written by: ClayDragon

If anyone has been wondering what's been happening with Bleach lately, allow me to fill you in.

For whatever reason, Tite Kubo has decided to take a long break, effectively putting Bleach on hiatus for a number of weeks. Whether it's because he's going on holiday, having a mental breakdown, or just so that he can annoy his fans, the bottom line is that there will be no Bleach (and therefore no Bleach reviews) until the end of the five-week hiatus.

This public service announcement is Urahara-approved.

After the five-week gap is over, Bleach will move into what has been promised to be 'the final battle'. Given that this arc has been widely-publicised to be the final story arc, and it was claimed that it would be at least as long as the Arrancar Saga, the fact that it would end so soon is a bit of a shock.

However, the title of 'the final battle' is a bit ambiguous, as it could be taken to mean the final fight between Ichigo and Yhwach, or the final stage in the war against the Vandenreich, in which case this arc could maybe be as long as the Shinobi World War arc in Naruto. Given that there are still a number of plot threads that have been left hanging, it's unlikely that Bleach will finish before the end of 2013.

Of course, the main question is 'when the hell is he coming back?'

In the meantime (and for the foreseeable future) I shall be publishing anime reviews every Monday, which can be found in the 'Recommended Anime & Manga' tab at the top of the page. If you have any suggestions as to what anime I should review, please don't hesitate to leave a comment with your idea.

The Bleach manga (and reviews) will return on September 9th.

ClayDragon is currently studying Physics at university, and is constantly bewildered by it. The main method of contacting him is his Gmail account at The alternative is his Skype account at kyleroulston1993. When not playing games or reading, he can be found with his head in his hands whilst trying in vain to understand quantum physics. His life is an unending cavalcade of mediocrity.
