Magi 248th Night Review

Written by: Micha (who is in love with a fictional woman)

Sweet mother, what in Lord’s good name was that? I am never forgetting this chapter. I have read some crazy stuff over the years, including some adult manga that had a man’s head shoved all the way in a woman’s butt, but this chapter tops everything. It really does.

In the last chapter, Gyokuen unleashed her crazy ass black rukh power, and at the same time sucked the black rukh from Judar (and the Al Thamen members) which caused Hakuryuu and Judar to become weaker. Hakuryuu’s Djinn equip started disappearing all thanks to the curse cast on him by Phenex.

Gyokuen sees Hakuryuu and Judar’s state and sadistically asks them what was wrong, and said she had raised both of them with so much love since they were small. Judar knew that he wouldn’t be able to win a magic duel against her since she was so fucking insane.

Yes, Gyokuen. Every mother should love their kids the way you do.

Magi 247th Night Review

Written by: Micha

This chapter is my porn. From start to finish. It really is. You can get some authentic Magi goodness from this one.

In this chapter, Hakuryuu, Judar, and their army are in the capital, attacking Gyokuen. The army at the capital starts losing their shit seeing Hakuryuu lead a revolt, and so does Hakuryuu’s army but because their bloodlust was being manipulated. Hakuryuu, who is still under the influence of Phenex’s magic, comes face to face with Kouen’s generals.

The generals refuses to let Hakuryuu and Judar pass, and Hakuryuu tells them to move and also that they didn’t understand who the real enemy of their empire was. The generals catches him off guard by admitting that they did know whom their country’s source of misery was. And whom had killed their eternal master.

But they were retainers of Kou Empire, and they would prevent it from being divided in to two.

They also have a Gandalf moment in here.

Kuroshitsuji Chapter 99 Review - That Butler, Frenzy

Written by Shiggins

I think I'm finally realising why people are attracted to uniforms...

As you may remember, Ciel was giving the audience a cruel cliffhanger last week where it looked like he was going to "off" the newest character Sullivan in the worst way possible. A tiny gun to her head, staring coldly into her eyes as he gives her a choice of life or death. Ciel tells her about how, if she refuses to use her genius, she may as well die.

"Give me your hand! Take my hand! Don't you let go! Don't let go... REACH!"

How Otaku Are You? A Quiz on School Rumble

Written By Platitude

DISCLAIMER AND RULES:

All of the information used in this quiz is based upon the official translation of the School Rumble manga, published by Del Rey Manga up until the series was discontinued with volume 16. The information regarding volumes 17 through 22, along with School Rumble Z, are from online scanlations. Because the questions pertain to events from all volumes of the manga, readers who have yet to read, or are in the process of reading the series School Rumble should be wary of spoilers. The test becomes incrementally more difficult as it progresses. So, try to find a piece of paper and a pencil amongst the piles of food wrappers and other assorted pieces of detritus covering your desk and let's do this, bitches.

Micha actually allowed me to do this.

Fairy Tail Zero Chapter 5 - A Moonlit Lake

Written by: Shiggins

.....Nope.

Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope! I don't want to review this one! I don't want to ever read it again! I don't want to even want to remember it! I know that different people and different countries so the rules are somewhat different and the age of consent is a lot lower in Japan but... You know what? I don't need to say why I don't want to look at this. I'm just gonna let you see for yourself.

13 YEARS OLD.

Fairy Tail Chapter 409 Review - Bond of Black and White

Written by: Shiggins

Like the Flash in bed, that was way too fast.

With Mecha-Bat Mard Geer spreading his wings, the battle begins as Natsu and Gray charge forward. To my huge disappointment, Mard uses more thorns but this time they are black which instantly makes them stronger because they are black. Of course, the powers of flame and ice just fight back against this until Mard Geer flies up in the air, taking the duo with him, and using the area around them to try to tear them apart.

This combination shows true love.

Magi 246th Night Review

Written by: Micha (OH YEAH.)

This chapter was interesting. A big dragged, but very interesting in some places.

Hakuryuu led his troops of manipulated men in to the 9th Supply Base. They claimed that they were there because they had sensed something suspicious. This of course, was their cover. One of the people in charge told them that there wasn’t anything suspicious, and they shouldn’t neglect their own duties which will shame General Kouen.

Mentioning of Kouen’s name was some sort of a trigger to them, which caused them to blow up their cover. Hakuryuu’s troops started chanting that Kouen was a usurper who killed the emperor and the royal princes. The soldiers of the Supply Base became shocked.

This is also how Tumblr feminists react when someone mentions cis-hetero males.

Opinions on Naruto Ending Compilation Part 3

Written by: ClayDragon

So in case you haven’t heard, Naruto is over. Well, sort of. The main manga series is finished, but
there’s a movie tie-in and a part 3 coming soon, so we have that to look forward to – or not, if you didn’t enjoy the ending. Like (I suspect) most people, my feelings towards the last two chapters of the Naruto manga are mixed, and instead of going through the chapters page by page, I figured I’d just talk about what I liked and disliked about them.

Okay kids, this is where it gets complicated...

Opinions on Naruto Ending Complilation Part 2.

Written by: Micha

Wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t have to see my bitchy opinions on the Naruto ending in this compilation? And yet here you are, stuck with me. I will try not to be harsh in this review as I’m known to be quite a pain in the ass when it comes to Kishimoto. I have bashed criticized Kishimoto quite a lot, mostly on this very blog, but it’s just an accurate representation of the whole of Naruto fandom.

And honestly, I quite liked the ending. Well, half of the ending. But we’ll get to that later.

Chapter 699:

I won’t explain each and every panel like in a normal review. Our Naruto reviewer has done that for us already. I will just highlight the key points that I feel are necessary to point out.

Firstly, this chapter is very good. Very, very good. Even the first page got me chills. I’ve always had a soft spot for symbolism in writing, but you know what else I’ve got a soft spot for? Gore. Naruto and Sasuke getting their hands severe and connected by blood was something that happened in Chapter 698, so I guess that doesn’t really count as something that happened in this chapter.

But have you seen them lying like that on Hashirama and Madara’s hand statues? Now that’s a symbolism of peace. Mixed with gore! My vagina can’t catch a break on this stuff.

I'm wet.

Opinions on Naruto Ending Compilation Part 1

Written by: Shiggins

On November 10th, 2014 we all lost a series close to our hearts. A series that is the exact reason Otakunuts even exists today and will hopefully exist for many days to come. That series is obviously, Naruto.

After reading FrillyPhoenix's review of the two chapters, you are no doubt wondering what the other writers of Otakunuts thought about it. Did we hate it? Did we love it? Did we cry like a bitch or did we rage like one instead? Well, the wondering can stop because after some contemplation and soul-searching we're ready to give our opinions. And lucky me, because I get to go first!

Fairy Tail: Blue Mistral Review - Chapter 1

Written by: Shiggins

Oh this is gonna be a tough one...

A few months ago, the Fairy Tail series was given it's own magazine and with it, spin-offs were announced. While Fairy Tail Zero is about the story of Mavis growing up and is written/illustrated by Hiro Mashima himself, the others are by different artists and writers so they all have different art-styles and probably can't be considered canon. After reviewing the first chapter of both Fairy Tail Zero and the disappointing Ice Trail, I was nervous about reviewing this one when it was finally released.

To quote a Soul Eater character: I don't know how to deal with is.

Magi 245th Night Review

Written by: Micha

Well, this was a rather dull chapter. A build up, but still incredibly dull.

After raping conquering Belial’s dungeon, Hakuryuu and his pal Judar heads to the front of the supply base, which obviously contains mostly of soldier rejects. Hakuryuu and Judar shoots, apparently from the sky, carrying unconscious bodies of two Al Thamen members as the soldiers in the base halt defensively.

Judar asks Hakuryuu if their first castle is going to be the stinky base, to which Hakuryuu tells him to shut the fuck up. After asking Hakuryuu what he wanted to do in the base, he has a flashback to two days ago, when they had captured the dungeon.

Judar's sass is contagious.

Fairy Tail Chapter 408 Review - Absolute Demon

Written by: Shiggins

I'm surprised that I'm surprised.

Despite all the madness and tragedy of losing Naruto this week, you should hopefully still remember that Fairy Tail is here. (Join us, Naruto fans. We're nice people...haha...). Anyway, last week Gray appeared suddenly for his fight with Mard Geer, possessing the power to face him head-on with Natsu and everybody else appropriately surprised.

Our series might not have ninjas or pirates but don't underestimate Fairy Tail or you'll end up regretting it!

Fairy Tail Chapter 407 Review - All for my Demise

Written by: Shiggins

Man... That one line of dialogue has really messed me up.

If you read the chapter this week, a few words should be ringing inside your head. "Exposition", "Theories" and "In-Between Chapter" were my biggest ones. It's a chapter you can't really hate because it's doing nothing but building up what's going to happen next, while distracting you with some small facts you were curious about.

"Forget the big fight and come see this cool thing I found!"
