Fairy Tail Chapter 421 Review - Wendy and Chelia

Written by Shiggins

I'm disappointed at the lack of little-romance.

Although the rest of the chapter wasn't half-bad. We started off this week with Wendy all blushing and embarrassed, praying she never has to be so adorable on stage again and perform. (So basically, don't expect her to start a new K-On band anytime soon). Oh and Toby and Yuka are there to provide what I hesitate to call "comedy relief".

Yeah... I'm officially 110% done with this joke now.

Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 113 and 114 Review - Revelation and Confused Heroes

Writer: Axlorg

That week break is now over and Nakaba is now back to writing which is good since you can never be too cautious about your health, but now we're back with a new chapter that starts off with a dream. On a side note, I swear Nanatsu No Taizai brings solid chapters every week with the occasional greatness. So lets get started.

Am I the only one concerned with the shading on Elizabeth's breast?

Kuroshitsuji Chapter 101 and 102 Review - That Butler, Encounter and That Butler, Cleaning Up

Written by Shiggins

I'VE BEEN WITH OTAKU NUTS FOR 2 YEARS AND 150 ARTICLES!

Two years of my life I'll never get back... Oh boy. I'm going to ignore my existential crisis and move on to reviewing this month's and last's month's chapter of Kuroshitsuji. (I didn't last month's because honestly... it sucked).

Well... Both are quite cute in their own way I suppose.

A Theological Interpretation of “Rukh” In Magi

Written by: Micha

I have not forsaken this fandom yet. To make up for my abrupt absence, where my University is 83% held accountable, I’m going to present a kickass theological interpretation of “rukh” in Magi. We’re aware of how much Magi borrows religion and mythology for its plot devices, and I feel like we’ve not quite grasped the depths of the symbolism in the concept of rukh.

If that doesn’t get the motor running in your nerd genitals, this is your cue to leave this post before I present my two primary interpretations of the concept and its implications and how it relates to the manga. I’ll make this as fast and painless as I can.

Don't look at me. Y'all started this.

Fairy Tail Chapter 420 Review - Lamia Scale's Thanksgiving

Written by: Shiggins

Ever just stared at a page for a while going "whaaaaaaaaaat?"

That's what happened to me this week. After a fair enough chapter, the second-last page this week left me bewildered, confused and really curious. I have to give credit where credit is due because Mashima almost made this chapter "just better than okay" until that page.

I feel awful for having to ask this but... when did Natsu destroy the clock tower?

The Top Five Pairings That Will Never Happen

Written By: Platitude

Due to the nature of this article, it should be fairly obvious that there are spoilers abound.

No, I'm not talking about crack-pairings. This is a list devoted to the honest-to-goodness ships that we all wished would occur, but just never bore fruit, either due to the series ending too early, or just because the work's creator was clearly ignorant of the fantastic romance that could develop. You know what I'm talking about, don't deny it. I know that you have an air of cold disdain to keep, but you cannot honestly tell me that there isn't a pairing that you shipped like a madman, only to have it broken apart right before your very eyes. Well, this is a testament to those events which have left otaku the world over in the fetal position with depression, those that have become the basis of thousands of FanFictions ranging from epic masterpieces to the kind of dreck that most people refuse to acknowledge in any way.

Kiss her, you fool! KISS HER!

Fairy Tail Chapter 419 Review - The Message of Flame

Written by Shiggins

This is what I like to call a "connecting chapter".

For those of you who don't know, a connecting chapter is one that does what it needs to do and moves the story from Point A to Point B. It's a bit like being Chapter A.5. However, don't let this fool you because this chapter definetly had some scenes you really need to check out.

Now THAT is how E.N.D should look!

Oh Tearie Me: A Review of Sepia Tears

Written By: Platitude

This review is (pretty much) spoiler free!

Oh, visual novels... If there is a single medium that is more entrenched in pure, modern Japanese culture, I'll eat my School Rumble figurine set. Sure, manga and Ukiyo-e prints are both recognized by us otaku as bastions of Japan-ness, but Korea has their manhwa and China is typically considered to be the place of genesis for woodblock prints, so neither of these groups of works are exclusively Japanese. On the other hand, show a visual novel-style game to any westerner, and they'll immediately recognize the work as a product of Japan. They won't say it's from somewhere in Asia, but will instead gravitate their answer towards that little chain of islands that we all love.

This is a manhwa. It's absolute tripe.

Fairy Tail Chapter 418 Review - The Challenger

Written by: Shiggins

A timeskip that actually feels bigger than the 7 year timeskip has finally ended!

And by the way, I am just so thrilled right now because I've just found the perfect name for this upcoming arc and nobody can deny it:
The Blues Brothers Arc!

Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 112 Review - Existence and Proof

Written by: Axlorg

Sorry I missed last chapter, really. For now, I'll give a recap on the important tid-bits. First of all, Jericho has decided to stalk Ban while he, himself, tries to get rid of King by telling him that Diane has remembered her memories at last. Then Merlin gives Gowther some medicine for his body to which he throws away later only for Hawk to munch on after. After that, we see Meliodas demanding that Merlin gives him that back. Next we see Gowther going on a date with Guila and that's when her little brother, Zeal appears needing help. At the end of the chapter, we see Gowther threatening Zeal... The brother Guila would kill for... Got that? Alright, let's move on.

Oh that's so good for you, teasing every single person that doesn't want to be single right around Valentines day.
